Our Mission Statement

HLAA-NH is a volunteering organization dedicated to enabling a friendly and supportive social and educational environment for people with hearing loss and those interested in hearing loss issues. The group members are dedicated to mutual help and experience and information sharing that leads to enriching its members' lives and helps them to overcome many obstacles associated with hearing loss.

Volunteering Opportunities

Your help is needed within our HLAA-NH organization. The following positions and functions are still open:

·        Fund raising coordinator.

·        Newsletter mailing – make sure that HLAA-NH Newsletter gets mailed in a timely fashion.

·         Contributors to HLAA-NH Newsletter. 

Please contribute your time and talent when you can. Our organizations success and an ability to help its members depends on all our contributions. Our experience shows that all such involvements are also highly rewarding and personally satisfying.

Current Announcements  

Minority Women Conference - June30, 2007 in Nashua, NH

Minorities are not only persons of color, but 
immigrants, disabled persons, refugees, single mothers, 
and divorced women. In fact, anyone who has special 
concerns or needs within the broader community can be seen
as minority. Although women constitute a larger percentage
of the population than men, we are considered minorities 
ourselves!

At the conference, we will celebrate our womanhood and 
empower ourselves, so that we might empower our communities
and our children. This will be a jam-packed day filled with 
information on many health issues as well as some 
entertainment. The keynote speakers are Laura Knoy from 
NH Public Radio and motivational speaker Treda Collier 
from Phillips Exeter Academy. We are going to have 16 
sessions.
